How to get there
To access the Risks page, Admins or Managers of the organisation must begin in the SaferMe web app.
Configuration
The risk matrix needs to be configured before hazards can be added to the risk register. If clicking on the Risks page takes you to an empty register, select Configuration to get started.
Risk Matrix
When opened for the first time, the risk matrix is already configured with a set of default values that can be saved as-is or further customised. The SaferMe risk matrix must be a 5x5 matrix.
Likelihood & Consequence
The Value column determines the weighting of the likelihood or consequence. The Instructional Text labels can be customised to suit your organisation's preferred language.
Risk Level
- The risk level section has four default ranges. There is an option to add up to two more ranges by pressing any of the + symbols.
- There should always be a minimum of three ranges and no more than six. Each range has a specific colour associated with it.
- A range can be deleted by selecting the red trash button. Ranges must increase in sequential order.
- When the 'To' value is entered incorrectly or left blank, the following error message will appear:
- The 'To' value must be greater than the 'From' value, and less than the subsequent risk level's 'To' value
- When an instructional text field is left blank, the following error message will appear:
- Instructional text is required
-
Edit the Likelihood and Consequence values and the Risk Level ranges to match your desired risk matrix.
The Matrix Preview
- The colours and values within the matrix reflect the selected risk levels.
- The preview will update as the values of likelihood, consequence, and risk levels are edited.
-
Select Save Risk Matrix to save your changes.
